The information below illustrates how our big trees are dug, packaged and handled for lifting.
Southern Pride Tree Farm and our partner nurseries dig live oak inventory for sale only once a year between late December and early February. Once dug, live oak trees are then hardened off for 9 to 12 weeks waiting for the tree to show new root growth. New root growth from top to bottom of the rootball and all the way around means we're sending a happy, healthy tree that will establish in the landscape faster. Each year's new inventory begins shipping around mid-April and as late as early May through the following year.

We only dig the trees we are going to sell for the year between December and January.
