The information below illustrates how we get your live oak trees ready to ship. * These photos were taken when Southern Pride Tree Farm sold smaller live oaks than we do now, the same process is applied to our very large live oak trees. Southern Pride Tree Farm arranges shipping with on-time, insured and experienced tree carriers on our customer's behalf.

The Big Live Oak Tree Dig & Lift

Here's how we package a live oak tree for delivery to our customers:

Step 1

Lifting the live oak tree, protecting trunk from scarring.

Step 2

Rootball lifted.

Step 3

Twisting wire basket.

Step 4

Twisting the basket protects Rootball in transit./p>

Step 5

Straps are tied onto basket close-up finished twisted basket.

Step 6

Tying top of basket with twine.

Step 7

Twisting “ears” of basket to further secure rootball.

Step 8

Putting ground cover liner on outside of basket to prevent re-rooting in ground until purchased and shipped to customer.

Step 9

Pinning top of ground cover.

Step 10

Finished product.
